SPARC is a network whose purpose is to ignite and help sustain performing arts communities in rural and remote Ontario. The network has been designed so that it is owned, developed and controlled by YOU, the individuals, groups and organizations that make the performing arts happen in rural and remote areas. Your networking needs, development goals, and artistic interests will inform the growth and evolution of SPARC over the next few years.
SEE WHO’S HERE… Visit our Member Directory and Member Map to see who else is a member and what kind of work they’re doing: Message someone you’d like to chat with or google organizations in your area you haven’t connected with – start networking!
To make networking as easy as possible, make sure your profile is up to date with as much info as you’re willing to share, and make sure you’re on the map (go to your profile and click on “Location”).
JOIN THE DISCUSSION… Soon after signing up, you will receive a notification that you have been invited to our closed, members only Facebook group. This is where all discussion between SPARC members takes place: Ask a question, share a resource, brainstorm about solving a problem unique to your community, provide advice for someone else facing a challenge you’ve overcome. *If you do not receive a notification, please email email@example.com.
ACCESS SERVICES... Learn more about what SPARC has to offer, including our Collaborative Community Initiatives Program.
ACCESS RESOURCES … Here you’ll find resources we’ve put together and some we’ve gathered from other sources relevant to the work our members are doing. And, of course, if you’ve got a resource to share, please let us know! Right now you will find a list of Ontario Arts Councils here as well as a list of Funding Sources – both provincial and national.
